Be certified with the Rutgers Safety Course.
-
Read the rules of your division and know them well. Bring your copy to
each game. The rules are also posted on the website and a copy should be in the
lockboxes.
-
Contact all the children on your team to inform them of their team
placement and your name and phone number/email address.
-
Schedule practice sessions by emailing
practicefields@optonline.net
by noon the Wednesday of the preceding week for a Friday field. If you want a
practice field for any other day besides Friday, email suefeuer@yahoo.com
-
You will be notified on Thursday as to your
practice time and field.
-
You may begin to schedule practices now for fields after April 1, 2008.
-
Be prompt to games and practices.
-
Obtain equipment bags, schedule and uniforms from your Division Manager.
-
You may select a team parent and place them in charge of all
communication, paperwork, drinking water for the team. Parents have volunteered
to do this, so take advantage!
-
Hand out a team roster and schedule to each parent. Include the TBO phone number 837-9613 and
instruct parents to call that number if there is inclement weather.
Never assume a game is canceled! Also, include the TBO website
www.teaneckbaseball.org. All updates and information
will be posted on the website.
-
You will need to check the TBO number
and/or the website to see if a game has been canceled due to weather. Again,
never assume that a game has been called. We try to play if it’s at all
possible. Please try to contact your team with the latest updates (this is
another time when the team parent can be useful).
-
Make sure bases are returned to the lock box at the end of each game and
the dugouts are clean and the fields are swept.
-
Inform the Division Manager:
-
Each game you win within 24 hours by email
-
A child who is not participating on a consistent basis.
-
Any problems, difficulties or issues that arise
-
Attend all manager meetings.
-
Encourage parent participation
-
Submit rating sheet at
the end of season and return the equipment bag.
-
Conduct yourself with the proper decorum and
sportsmanship that are consistent with the ideals of Teaneck Baseball
Organization. Show good sportsmanship by not arguing with other managers,
umpires and parents
